Dear Village Neighbors,
Please let me know what is important to you.
I was elected to work for Village of Hillcrest residents. I want to know if I am doing what you want done for the Village.
Sewer madness?
I’m very critical about the sewer system going in. But, NOT opposed to it overall. Long before being elected to a Trustee position I was at the podium asking question after question after question. A never got a straight answer month after month after month.
Why ignore the oldest sections of the Village?
It is already costing the Village somewhere near a million and half dollars and ran over budget quite easily. So why do we neglect the oldest sections of Hillcrest by running sewer lines in newer sections?
If there are alleged to be failing systems in newer homes in Hillcrest – which no one has ever had tested – why would anyone propose to ignore the oldest sections?
LET SCOTT ROT
Why not start at Scott Avenue?
Why not run the sewer system from the southern and oldest end of Hillcrest to the newest sections in Windover?
The proposed sewer route ignores and neglects the oldest homes and streets. There is no excuse for doing that. The homes on Jeffrey Avenue and Hillcrest Avenue that connect to the oldest sections of Wayne and Errett will have to wait a decade or more to ever be even a proposal for a sewer system.
Look at the map of Hillcrest for yourself. It makes no sense to run the sewer system in newer streets and homes and deny the sections that have been in existence since Hillcrest was founded.
Millions owed for decades !!!
Every home owner in Hillcrest will owe paying back the millions and millions of dollars in loans being taken on to sewerize the Village.
Ask your realtor if you will have to disclose that during a sell of your home?
So if we are going to go into massive debt, why not run the sewer lines from Scott Avenue to Hemstock Road in the Windover Park section of Hillcrest Village?
If anyone has to wait decades for a sewer system, the very newest sections in Windover Park would justify the wait.
Please email me at [email protected] and attend the next Village Meeting and let me know what you think.
Thank you,
Tim Ball
