Too many people are missing at the monthly meetings at the Village Hall. Held the second Wednesday of every month, it should be a packed house. Trustees and the Board President work FOR the people of Hillcrest. Not for special interests and businesses whose owners may not even live in Hillcrest.
Much of what can happen at these meetings can cost every single homeowner in Hillcrest more money. Or, decisions made for some business can make life uncomfortable as semi-trailers and traffic associated with commerce can be intense.
If you want a better Hillcrest, than getting involved and speaking at the monthly meetings is the best way to assure that you and your family will be thought of first and foremost. A neighborhood is the people that live in them. And the concerns of residents and families should always be put before outside interests. UNLESS of course, those outside concerns can make for true improvements to Hillcrest and make life easier and less costly for families.
